Hardwood floors are often the investment of a lifetime.

Because wax acts a a barrier against moisture, it also prevents damage from humidity, so having your floor waxed and polished reduces the appearance of grooves, scratches and imperfections.

Waxing and polishing a floor also gives it an attractive sheen.

Buffing and re-coating

Buffing your dull and worn floors is a good way to bring them back to life. It is cheaper than a complete sanding and refinishing, although it won't rid your floor of every little scratch and nick. It is also a traditional method of floor cleaning, used by professionals for years, and both effective and inexpensive.

Floor buffering cleans and protect your floor by dislodging dirt gently, leaving a glossy finish. It is more effective than regular hand mopping and polishing because the machinery used is heavy duty.

Effectively removing surface scratches

When you choose All American Hardwood Flooring, one of our professional finishers will come to your home with a buffing machine. Attached to this (at the bottom) is a special sanding screen, which rotates, effectively removing minor surface scratches and nicks that are caused by moving furniture around.

Once buffered, we then apply a coat of durable finish to the floor.

The whole process takes very little time and you should be able to walk on your floor again within a few hours. We guarantee that your floor will look smooth and attractive very soon after, without substantial cost or effort.
